Installing Evans High Performance Coolant requires the radiator, engine block and heater core to be drained completely and prepped with Evans Hygroscopic Prep Fluid. This fluid must be used to prepare the radiator for Evan's High Performance Coolant as it "picks up" excess water from your tank - Evan's Coolant will not work properly if there is more than 5% of water left in the cooling system. This listing is for 1 gallon (3.77l) of Prep fluid - you need to use half the volume of your cooling system to prepare it (please contact us to if you are unsure of the amount you need). 1. Drain existing coolant from entire cooling system, including heater and all hoses.
2. Fill with Evans Hygroscopic Prep Fluid to remove dirt, scale and residual coolant
3. Run engine until normal operating temperature is reached , allow to cool and re-drain the system
4. Fill with Evans Waterless Coolant, then run engine until normal operating temperature is reached to bleed all air from the system
5. After initial use, check coolant level and top up if necessary Following the above procedure should result in less than 3 % water remaining in your system ensuring maximum benefit.
