Will suit suit Mahindra Pikup Automatic or Manual 2018 onwards
Like most modern 4WD’s Mahindras come with hubs on the front wheels that automatically engage when four wheel drive is selected. This style is preferred by modern manufacturers because it takes the onus off the operator but it also creates a weak link in the system.
However now it’s possible to replace the automatic function with tough and dependable Freewheeling hubs and regain the direct mechanical on/off manual hub much preferred by experienced drivers. Being able to manually engage or disengage each front wheel from the driving axle gives the security of knowing you’ve got the strongest possible connection and the advantage of low range operation too.
By disconnecting the Freewheeling hubs low range can be selected on non slip surfaces such as tarmac or concrete without any wheel wind up. That means you can fully utilise the low range gears for perfect low speed manoeuvring. This is essential for people who tow or reverse heavy loads.
These kits come complete with gaskets and fittings and bolting them on is as easy as operating them.
