Revive Engine Cleaner & Power Restorer Starter Kit Diesel Turbo NAS 9000
SKU code: 9000
What is Revive?
Revive is a safe water based| non toxic and non flammable fluid| using technology developed and used for the cleaning and maintenance of aviation jet engines| power station turbines| large marine diesel engines and now automotive engines. The fluid is sprayed into the vehicle’s intake system whilst the engine is running. As the Revive fluid passes through the engine system it locks on to built up oily/carbon deposits and strips away a surface layer. These tiny carbonised particles are then carried away out through the exhaust system| safely passing through catalytic converters and filters.
4wd Industries is an agent for Revive Engine Cleaner & Power Restorer. Please see the information provided below about this great new product and if you wish| access the revivemyengine website for a "How To" Video.
This listing is for the Revive Starter Kit which includes Sprayer Bottle & 750ml Revive Fluid.
What Sort Of Vehicles Can Revive Be Used On?
Petrol engines| diesel engines| turbocharged and naturally aspirated engines in cars| vans| trucks and buses.
IMPORTANT: Revive must not be used on two stroke engines as the gas and lubrication path are common. It should also not be used on engines that are not mechanically sound. Revive cannot "repair" damaged or worn components.
Why use Revive?
Gasoline and diesel powered engines produce carbon and soot deposits within the engine. Vehicles fitted with variable vane / geometry turbochargers get affected by the build-up of deposits around the turbocharger vanes and this causes them to stick.
Revive can help solve and cure the following problems:
- Reduced power
- Poor pickup
- Failed Smog test
- Low fuel economy
- Smoking exhaust
Improvements using Revive are most noticeable on turbocharged diesel engines as the turbochargers are more sensitive to fouling| and diesels are inherently dirtier than petrol engines.
When to use it
Revive can be used in two different ways:
- The first is to fix a known problem with your vehicle| this removes carbon and soot which have already built-up in your engine.
- The second way is as a preventative clean that is normally performed at the same time as your regular service. A preventative Revive clean can reduce soot build-up and the risk of expensive repairs and breakdowns. Preventative cleans are highly recommended for turbo diesel vehicles fitted with variable vane/nozzle/geometry turbos.
How To Use Revive
The following is an example of the process used for Automotive engines UNDER 5.0 liters of displacement Note: This process can be completed in just 30 minutes! Starting with a cold engine| remove the air filter or disconnect the air intake hose between the air filter housing and the throttle body. Revive must be sprayed after (or downstream) of the air filter and the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. Spray Revive in 3 doses of 250ml into the intake| 1st with the engine running at 2200 RPM| next at 1800 RPM| stop the engine for 15 minutes| re-start the engine then finally at 2000 RPM. Keep the engine running for a few more minutes until the Revive has worked out of the system. Take the vehicle for a brisk drive of about 20 minutes| this allows Revive to do its work. It is suggested that the Revive cleaning process is performed as a preventative maintenance operation before a service| which will then allow the engine to be checked over and filled with clean oil.
