Why did your water pump fail?

Common reasons:

• it's age
• wrong Coolant or no Coolant used
• Stop Leaks added to Cooling System
• your Serpentine Belt is not running true from Pulley to Water Pump to Tensioner and this misalignment puts undue strain on the Pulley Shaft| resulting in failure
• your Tensioner Bearing has deteriorated causing the Pulley to run untrue
• your Viscous Fan is worn causing strain on the Water Pump.

Please check these before you fit a new water pump.
